This page sets out the conformity, safety and disposal information for CoLinear Acoustics hardware. If you need something that is not here, ask us and we will send it.
Conformity marks
Our hardware carries the CE mark for the European Economic Area and the UKCA mark for Great Britain. Either mark is now sufficient for the United Kingdom: recognition of CE marking for the electromagnetic compatibility and low voltage regimes was extended indefinitely in October 2024.
For the United States, the product is declared under the Federal Communications Commission's Part 15, Subpart B, as a Class B digital device. It contains no radio transmitter. The supplied remote control is infrared, which is outside the scope of radio equipment regulation everywhere we ship.

Electrical safety
The unit itself runs at safety extra-low voltage and is never connected to the mains directly. Mains power is handled entirely by the supplied external AC adapter, which carries its own approvals from its manufacturer for the region it is shipped to.
Use the adapter supplied with the product. If you need a replacement, ask us rather than substituting one, so that the unit stays within the conditions it was tested under.
Restricted substances
Our hardware is manufactured to comply with the restriction of hazardous substances requirements that apply in the markets we ship to. The Declaration of Conformity above records the specific instrument relied on.
Disposal and recycling
Electrical and electronic equipment must not be put in with general household waste at the end of its life. Take it to a local collection point for waste electrical and electronic equipment, or return it to us and we will dispose of it properly. Contact us first so we can tell you where to send it.
The remote control contains a battery. Remove it before disposing of the remote and take it to a battery collection point, which most supermarkets and hardware shops provide.
